Established Leadership Through Innovation

Managing innovation and staying competitive are major challenges facing companies in every area of private enterprise. To deal successfully with the complexities of these challenges, SORL has concentrated its efforts on satisfying the needs of customers who depend on aspheric optical systems and instrumentation for a wide range of research and test applications. These include surface analysis, focal length measurement, MTF, MRT, and OTF determination, spectroscopy, laser beam evaluation, stress/strain analysis, and optical diagnostics. Achieving all these specialized demands utilizes SORL's expertise in the unit and quantity production and testing of spherical, flat, and aspheric optical components and systems in the vacuum ultra-violet, ultra-violet, visible and infrared spectra, to fractional wavelength accuracies.

Teamwork Assures Quality Systems

When you choose SORL, you're not just selecting an interferometer, or an optical test station, you're getting a highly motivated team of professionals dedicated to helping you solve your problem - it's been that way since the beginning. SORL is equally adept at building a single optical component as it is at handling the production of numerous systems. We also offer systems integration as part of our service. Our people share one common objective: provide advanced  technology in the field, development of new components, and systems design where fundamental research, remain critically important. Ours is a technological world encompassing scientific research, device development, systems integration, manufacturing, testing, and applications assistance, including a multitude of optical, opto-mechanical, and electro-optical systems. These technologies no longer exist independently of each other, but interact to form the world industry we serve.

Testing To Meet The Demands Of The Next Millenium

SORL doesn't just claim quality. With our modern testing facilities, we prove it. Laser Unequal Path Interferometers (LUPIs), used exclusively throughout the critical final production and quality assurance stages, assure accurate figuring and a clear view of the final mirror surface. Surface accuracies to 1/25th wave at a wavelength of 632.8nm can be supplied. Our ability to produce quality spherical and flat mirror surfaces has grown as well. SORL can produce your desired surface on a wide variety of substrates including Zerodur, fused silica, lightweight-Pyrex and most metals. SORL's capability in design, manufacture, and test of reflective telescope systems is a direct result of our leadership in manufacturing aspheric mirror components.

Custom Or Quantity, Quality Is Constant

A critical factor in determining the capacity to consistently produce high quality optical components and systems is the ability to test and verify proof of compliance. SORL proves itself by establishing and maintaining a stringent quality assurance program. From incoming material inspection to packaging for customer shipment, SORL maintains the highest quality standards to ensure that all our optical components and systems meet or exceed all specified parameters. As a further demonstration of SORL's overall commitment to quality control and quality assurance, assembly operations are performed in one area, while the inspection procedures are carried out in a separate facility. Due to the precise nature of SORL products and their applications, most work is performed according to military specifications.

Products For Outer Space, Inner Space Or Lab Space

At SORL, we produce a wide range of reflective components, systems, and accessories that provide precise solutions to the problems of optical testing in the airborne, space-based, and astronomical applications. Our goal is to develop the analytical tools required for tomorrow's optical research. Our commitment is to help you. Thus, the people using SORL systems gain a deeper understanding of the performance options such equipment can provide. The proven combination of individual skill, collective experience, personal dedication, quality materials, precision manufacturing technology, in-depth research, and superior test equipment has made SORL an established leader in this field.
